O'Siyo...

My name is Jane, but since this page is dedicated to Oklahoma and part of it's people, I do prefer to be Wohali (Eagle); this is the name which the Tsalagi people gave me. I have read and studied the whole life about the Native Americans and wanted to meet their spiritual culture. I was in Pryor (OK) for about one month and enjoyed every moment of my stay there. I could touch with  my hands most of what I read about for so long and felt like I was living something "deja-vu".....I really wish to be back there soon!

Through this page I want to thank all my friends who helped me during my stay there in Pryor, first of all Tony and Sandi who brought me everywhere around the Cherokee Nation territory. Without them I couldn't be able to find all those marvelous places that I saw. Lloyd & Judy,  who helped me so much solving a lot of problems to get me housed and mobile. Then Barbra, Tony Bigfoot, Mary & Gilbert, Glenna, Clark and Jana, Larry...and everyone who made me feel so warm.

A special thank to Becky Knutson, who was so patient teaching me the art of beading in the indian style; if you ever saw her work, you'd know what I mean.

If you want to know more about Native Americans, please go next!

Wado!

May the warm winds of heaven
Blow softly upon your house,
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there,
May your mocassins
Make happy tracks
In many snows,
And may the rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.
